I don't get out much.
Getting a babysitter hasn't been at the top of my list of priorities. But in a week's time I saw one first run movie (the previously mentioned Blades of Glory) and two inflight movies.
I felt like a cultural maven.
So here are my late and hormonally-influenced movie reviews:
- Miss Potter -- (the story of Beatrix Potter) It was a lovely light movie about the writer, her disapproving mother and her first love. Tragic moments. Personal triumph. I cried.
- The Holiday -- (this is the one where LA- resident Cameron Diaz switches houses with British village resident Kate Winslet) Lovely film about escaping from your current reality into something completely different. Some hokey dialog, but overall entertaining. I cried.
- Blades of Glory -- a laugh riot. I cried (as I rushed to the restroom at the end, certain that my bladder control would not last the distance.)
